Women in Jamaica and around the world have made outstanding contributions in the agriculture economy, whether in food engineering, researching, farming or education. There are a growing number of women involved in farming, and it is important that we showcase their importance and recognize their contributions to their communities and the nation.
The Jamaica Agricultural Society will be hosting its “Women in Agriculture Conference #from Boots to Heels” on June 12, 2024, under the theme “The Achievers”. The 2024 Women in Agriculture Conference will be executed on two (2) main pillars; our Grand Gala at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel and the publication of our fourth edition of the Women in Agriculture Magazine. The Keynote Speaker at the Gala will be Her Excellency Lady Allen. Our main focus this year will be on Researchers, Fisherfolks, Leaders, and Farmers.
