  • This event will feature an Exhibition during the period 8:00 am – 4:00 pm Exhibition Features:

    • Official Ceremony
    • Tour of Exhibits
    • Reading of winning ‘Eat Jamaican’ Essay
    • Cultural Performances
    • Awards Presentation

    ‘Eat Jamaican’ Day Celebrations
    Wednesday November 25, 2015 - Jamaica 4H Clubs Headquarters 10:00 am

  • To create an ambience of old time Jamaican vibes; great food and delightful music.
  • The evening would entail excellent authentic Jamaican food capsulated with the rhythm of a Mento Band.
  • Tickets will be sold for $2,500.00 per person.
  • The target audience would be a minimum of 300 persons.
  • Food will include seafood, jerk and grill, chicken, soup/appetizer, salad bar, desserts, coffee/tea and a bar (juice and liquor).
  • MEDIA AND PROMOTION

    • Radio and television interviews prior to and during the celebrations.
    • Outside broadcasts from the Exposition.
    • Sponsors advertisement on the JAS Official website (logo placement).
    • Honourable mentions of sponsors in print and electronic media prior to and during the event
    • Exclusive 3 minute endorsement by sponsors during the event.
    • Interaction with schools across the island to create an awareness and sensitization, the week leading up to ‘Eat Jamaican’ Day.
    • In collaboration with the JAS and other stakeholders solicit and promote the ‘Eat Jamaican’ essay competition.
    • Partnership with hotels and restaurants across the island during ‘Eat Jamaican’ month to have at least one dish on a special menu dedicated to the campaign.

    STAKEHOLDERS ENGAGEMENT

    • Liaise with agencies to highlight the ‘Eat Jamaican’ campaign.
    • Stakeholders to showcase Jamaican products during the events.
    • In collaboration with the JAS and other stakeholders solicit and promote the ‘Eat Jamaican’ essay competition.
    • Soliciting of sponsors for the event.
